Michael A. Bekos is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Ioannina in Greece. He holds a Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master degree from the University of Ioannina in Greece.
His research interests primarily focus on theoretical aspects of Computer Science and Discrete Mathematics, and in particular on the development of algorithms to solve optimization and combinatorial problems mostly from the research areas of Graph Drawing, Graph Theory, Information Visualization and Map Labeling. His research work includes research papers published in prestigious journals and peer-reviewed conferences, which have received several citations.
